Metal Bands Duke It Out For Spot At Wacken
The Wacken Open Air Festival is a great opportunity for audiences. In 2015, it’s already confirmed that those that make the trek out to Wacken, Germany will get to see artists like Judas Priest, Black Label Society, Opeth, Dream Theatre, and dozens more.
It’s also a great opportunity for the bands. They get the chance to play for enthusiastic audiences of ten of thousands of metal fans.
One lucky band from Canada is going to get the opportunity to do just that, but they’ll have to earn their place. That’s why the festival is holding the Wacken Metal Battle, a cross-Canada battle of the bands among all the up-and-coming metal bands the nation has to offer. The prairie finals are happening at the Exchange, so it’ll be your opportunity to see the act that might take it all.
The Wacken Metal Battle Prairie Final is in the Exchange on Friday, February 20 with Endless Chaos, Harmful Effects, Maelstrom Vale, and Vathek. Doors at 8 p.m. $10 at the door. All ages and licensed.
