About Jillian Bell

Jillian provides readings and workshops for writers in educational settings (K-12), and seminars or presentations on social media, internet safety, marketing, and publishing. Readings for K-2 include excerpts from children’s stories currently in development and collaborative storytelling. Writing and creativity workshops focus on observation, improv, and collaboration. Internet workshops focus on social media (including how-tos), the don’ts of “social media marketing”, and Internet safety for children. She is also more than happy to provide grammar workshops! Because grammar! Jillian can also speak to the production end of things, and offers seminars or presentations on the publishing spectrum.

She has taught knitting classes, music classes, writing classes, and has served as a tutor in many areas.

About Marie Powell

Marie Powell (www.mepowell.com) offers a variety of readings and workshops. Readings include introducing her Grade One beginner-reader series to groups of up to 75 children in Grades Pre-K to Two; introducing her science and history books to middle grades; introducing her young adult historical fantasy to readers from upper-elementary to adult. Her workshops include such topics as inspiring creativity through writing prompts and exercises for all ages, and aspects of the writing craft for poets and fiction. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and her regular writing workshops are popular in Regina and across the region.

About Tekeyla Friday

Tekeyla Friday has a diploma in writing for children and teens through the Institute of Children’s Literature.

Her first story, “Kadin and the Dragon,” was published in 2010 in R.E.A.L. Canadian Kids Magazine. Her first book, “Bothers: Powers Of Archangel Michael,” was published in Feburary 2014.

Tekeyla enjoys creating fantasy, mystery and sci-fi stories. She writes puppet scripts and works as the Children’s Programmer for Chinook Regional Library. She mentors young writers from ages 8 – 18.

Mentors young writers, creates book covers for self-published authors, guides writers who want to be self-published through the writing progress and publishing process.

Lectures and workshops on writing. Puppet making workshops and puppet script writing workshops.
