The Cultural Exchange is a provincially mandated organization and delivers its programs from as for north as Wollaston Lake and as far south as Carlyle as far east as Broadview and as far west as Lloydminister.

2002/04 Mentor Common Weal Community Arts to independence
1998 Produced the first Aboriginal Art Festival in Saskatchewan
1994/02 In partnership with Rachael Van Fossen & CommonWeal Community Plays deliver community plays in Fort Qu’Appelle, Wollaston Lake and Regina
1992 Renovated a warehouse into the Cultural Exchange Centre
1990/91 Rented facility burns to the ground. Created a for profit holding company. Purchased

1989/92 Delivered theatre, music tours to communities in the far north
1989/90 Produced the teaching video the “Dene Hand Game” in partnership with the Black Lake
Elders
1987/92 Produced the Saskatchewan Heritage Fiddle Championships
1987/09 Established the Saskatchewan Festivals Committee provide funding, networking and marketing to Festivals
1985 Established the Saskatchewan Fiddle Committee- becomes the Saskatchewan Fiddle Association
1985 Co-produced the Regina Folk Festival
1985/08 Developed, delivered the Emma Lake Fiddle Camp. The only fiddle camp east of Ontario for 10 years. Ensured the preservation of the fiddle music and playing in Saskatchewan
1983/84 Established 23 Below in Saskatoon- becomes the Ness Creek Festival
1983 Workshop Tour starts the longest touring program in Saskatchewan. 5 artists on the road delivering workshops to youth.
1980 Established the longest-running live performance facility in Regina
1979/80 Communicart tours the province
1977 Established under the Societies Act
