The Electric Revival Are Bringing Rock Energy to the Club

You may have seen this before: three scruffy dudes who, if they aren’t currently clad in leather look like they were in the recent past. They take the stage, taking up guitar, bass, and drums, and proceed to play a rock show.

If the scene’s familiar by now, it might be because it can still strike a chord with audiences. Calgary, AB’s the Electric Revival know that chord well. They take in disparate influences –– rock, blues, punk –– and give it energy, make it personal, and keep it fun.

They’ve kept busy in their hometown for years now, releasing their debut full-length, Presenting: the Electric Revival, back in 2012. After a few more records, they spent three weeks in the studio making Freaks, their new album that came out earlier in 2015.

The Electric Revival play the Club on Friday, March 13 with Whiskey Manner and Johnny 2 Finger and the Deformities. Doors at 8 p.m. $10 at the door. All ages and licensed.
