Volunteer Opportunity
In the 30-year history of the Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange, the organization has successfully increased cultural programming and artistic experiences for the province. The Board of Directors has an important role in the overall reach and success of the organization.
We are currently looking to fill a few vacancies within the Board of Directors.
The commitment is a two year term, with 4-6 meetings a year, and invitation to attend events and happening hosted by the organization. All expenses to attend or join meetings via teleconference will be covered by the organization.
The Saskatchewan Cultural Exchange strives to provide diverse and cultural programming and artistic experiences across Saskatchewan. Through a policy governance structure, the Board ensures the organization has the means necessary to carry out the organization’s strategic ends, by developing policy, approving the annual budget and setting the strategic vision, mission, values and goals of the organization.
There is no prior board or policy governance experience required to apply for the role of board director. In fact, one of the objectives of the Board is to provide learning and volunteer opportunities for people in Saskatchewan. We want people to grow their own experiences with policy governance and arts development in Saskatchewan.
If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
