Kinder Scout is a Regina, SK power trio with a Canadiana driven roots-rock sound. Their debut EP Whistle Man is released through the band’s own record label Dakota Red Productions. This working band has been busy performing as a rock roots driven band or as a solo artist at acoustic venues sharing the music. Kinder Scout has delivered performances at summer festivals and various venues since debuting in March 2014.
Our goals are to make great records, and develop great relationships locally and abroad to make our passion our career.

Meet the New Workshop Tour Troupe

Every year, one of the more exciting activities around the Cultural Exchange offices is watching the Workshop Tour troupe take shape. For over thirty years, our organization has put together a group of artists to travel around the province, filled with Saskatchewan writers, musicians, visual artists, and more. They share their craft with elementary and high schools all over the province, letting the next generation in on the joys of creation.

All the pieces are now in place, and we can announce the 2015 Workshop Tour troupe. This fall, we’ll be sending all these talented folks out on the road:

– dancer Taylor Hunt

– musician Erik Mehlsen

– visual artist Rowan Pantel

– writer Danica Lora

Acadence

About Acadence

Acadence is the harmony of two small-town kids, Alexandra Barabe and Matt Cudmore, whose passion for music brought them together in early 2015.

Focusing on acoustic driven music, the duo have been working together on a selection of original songs that combine their musical backgrounds and abilities, resulting in a beautifully grounded sound that’s all their own.

Although Alexandra and Matt have only been working together for a short time, Acadence’s fresh and unique sound already has a presence on the local music scene after working with Jared Robinson of Nebulus Entertainment.

Acadence recently lent their talents to a local charity event for Tim Hortons, and even played at this years Summer Invasion. Stay tuned for more music, events, and performances from Acadence!

Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre

About Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre

The Centre is a multidisciplinary museum featuring a spacious art gallery and permanent natural history and local heritage exhibits. It is the tourism centre for the Town of Shaunavon and also houses a community meeting room and the local branch of the Chinook Regional Library. A hub of community activity, the Centre hosts events and programs throughout the year related to the temporary and permanent exhibits, and to local community gatherings.
