Jillian Bell

Jillian is a Saskatchewan writer, knitter, freelance editor, storyteller, actor, public speaker, and social engager who works with the publishing industry. She writes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, essays, and reviews; she has edited books for the literary market and for the trade market; she has participated in improv theatre and dinner theatre; and she has taught writing and social media classes, workshops, and seminars in schools, libraries, and professional development venues. Jillian has lived in northern Saskatchewan, central Saskatchewan, southern Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Her work has appeared in anthologies, newspapers, periodicals, and on the web.

Marie Powell

Marie Powell (www.mepowell.com) is the author of more than 30 published books, including the young adult historical fantasy Hawk (Five Rivers, 2015) and Hawk and Crown (Five Rivers, 2016). She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and her award-winning short stories and poetry appear in such literary magazines as subTerrain, Room, and Transition. She lives in Regina, and her writing workshops are popular across the province.

Tekeyla Friday

Tekeyla Friday has a diploma in writing for children and teens through the Institute of Children’s Literature.

Her first story, “Kadin and the Dragon,” was published in 2010 in R.E.A.L. Canadian Kids Magazine. Her first book, “Bothers: Powers Of Archangel Michael,” was published in Feburary 2014.

Tekeyla enjoys creating fantasy, mystery and sci-fi stories. She writes puppet scripts and works as the Children’s Programmer for Chinook Regional Library. She mentors young writers from ages 8 – 18.
